About Us
Medicine is unique in that at any stage in one’s career, you will find yourself at once a teacher and a learner. The teaching aspect of our careers really takes off during residency as we accrue more experiential knowledge and work with medical students and junior housestaff. The Toronto Resident’s Initiative Promoting Medical Education (TRIP-ME) consists of a collection of handouts and resources created and compiled by fellow residents and reviewed by faculty members. The handouts are meant to provide residents with a succinct yet organized and logical approach to teaching about common medical problems. They are not meant to be exhaustive reviews on each topic, but ensure that a logical approach is taken and key points are highlighted. As this is a new initiative, contributions to new or existing handouts and teaching materials are always welcome. We hope this motivates you to engage in more teaching on the wards. Enjoy!
